'Music & Me' program coming to the theater
A summer program for youngsters ages 3 to 5 is coming to the theater in July.
"Music and Me" will take place July 30 through Aug. 3. The program will encourage young children to experiment with sound and investigate various means for making music.
On the final day of the program, families and friends will be invited to the theater so the children have an opportunity to show what they have learned about having fun with music.
The camp is under the direction of Emma Steever Glasgow, who holds a bachelor's degree in music education from SUNY Fredonia and a master's degree from the University of Delaware. She has a certification in early childhood music and was the director of the University of Delaware's Community Music Schools' "Music for Young Minds."
"Music and Me" camp is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the NYS Council on the Arts with the support of Gov. Andrew M, Cuomo and the NYS Legislature and administered by the Tri-County Arts Council.Schedule
